Hello all,

Is there a way to add personnalized code to the application_start event without modifiying the dnn core?

I know I can't subscribe to the application_start event with HttpModules, so I'm wondering if anyone could suggest an elegant way of doing this.

Thank you.

Using static constructor to simulate it . it's in one of Joe Brinkman's blogs if I remember correctly.

Wow,

That actually seem to do the trick.  That's great.  Can't wait to try it out.

Here's the link by the way :

I created that code when working on the AspDotNetStorefront module conversion and it has worked without problems for us on that project.  Let me know how it works out for you.

Hello Joe,

I posted a comment on your blog but maybe I should ask my question here.

You were mentionning that you might have found a way "to use the DotNetNuke event framework to tap into the Application_Start event".  Were you finally able to do that?  Also, did you come up with alternative ways to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot.
