Error: Log Viewer is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. The statement has been terminated. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired.

Where can I adjust the timeout period? It seems to be set at 30 seconds

Sadly, the timeout is set in the Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.dll file.

From what I have been told you have to re-compile it to extend the timeout.  At work I have a modified copy that has the timeout set to 60 seconds.....

I was afraid of that. I guess I'll have to start truncating!

If you want to try swapping out your current Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.dll file with the one included in this zip - http://www.mitchelsellers.com/portals/1/ModifiedApplicationBlocksData.zip You can see if that helps.

NOTE: be sure to make a backup of the existing dll before you swap them out just incase.

I am using that .dll here at work and it doesn't time out unti 60 seconds.
