I only was able to find one post on this from awhile ago with no answer. I have a custom module that has links to .aspx pages which open in a new window. When you click the link everything works fine, but then it appears you are automatically logged out. The next thing you do redirects you to the login page.

Also, this happens to all users except the Host user. Any suggestions?

Dnn framework need some thing to identify the user permission context . like PortalId/TabId/Mid . This identify  donn't include host account because in dnn , This account can do anything.

So ,your problem can be solved by pass a parameter to your own .aspx file when open it . For example ,

<a href="aaa.aspx?PortalId=0"/> .

Thanks for the info, I understand the problem better now. After reading through this and some other documentation it sounds like using .aspx pages isn't ideal anyway, security being one reason. I'll have to play with it some more and see if there is a better way than how I'm doing it.
