I have been using DNN since V2. Recently, I have been getting this error on 4.4.1 and I thought 4.5.3 should have some fix.

00:02:21.143 - Executing Additional Scripts:
00:02:21.143 -   Creating Portal: My Website
00:02:30.502 -   Error: Thread was being aborted.

I installed 4.5.3 and put to Auto Install, I still got the same error.

I then retry using Custom, and it was able to install successfully.

So this error have to do with timeout that cause the thread to be aborted.

What are the timeout settings (session, execution, ???) that I should adjust to increase the timeout that effect the thread?
