My last question didn't garner much attention, maybe because I didn't ask the right question.  I'll ask it a little differently.

Can you grant a normal user access to certain administrative pages?

I have seen in the forum a method for allowing normal users access to the newsletter interface, which normally required admin privlages to send an email newsletter.  Similarly, I was hoping to give a normal user access to the user authorization control and the roles control.  I tired using the same solution as the newsletter app note, which required creating a new module and using the newsletter module as a data source, but it didn't work out.

Any help would be appriciated.

The short answer is no, not without writing a custom module.

I have the idea of writing this type of module on my list of  'to-do' items, however, these days that is a pretty long list!
