Hi,

I'm trying to use an svg-image in a Text/HTML module and for that I upploaded a svg-file without problems (just allowed the *.svg file extension).

But when I try to include the image into my module via following html-tag:

"<object data="/Portals/0/thema.svg" type="image/svg+xml" style="width: 111em; height: 77em; display: inline;"><br />You will need an SVG-Viewer<br /></object>"

The output is the standard 404 Error from IE (although I'm using Firefox). Also if I try to access the file directly over the address-line, I get the same error. If I rename the file to "theme.txt" I can view the xml-file plain-text, but not the image -.-
Does somebody know how to teach DNN not to block or whatever it is doing with my file?

Well, maybe DNN does something to the file. But the first thing is to allow IIS (when using it...) to serve this kind of files. You could try editing the settings for your website -> tab Http Headers -> Mime Types -> New, Extension is .svg (include the dot), Mime type is (what I read from the contents of your post, but I am not sure this is ok) image/svg. This could also be set at Server level, if you have more sites where you want to allow it. Or, for security, at folder level.

Sometimes you can debug this kind of errors with Fiddler. But I think this does not work with FF out of the box.

Good luck, Leo
