knappster,

When you say that you can't get it to use dlls, you're meaning specifically that you can't upload dlls in your package, right?  It seems like the component used to unzip your package is running into an error.  How are you zipping your package up?

Thank you so very much.  I knew with passing each error I was getting close.

Can you tell me - while I have you - is there a way to keep the dll name the same with each application?  I've been publishing it - which creates a new dll App_Web_hash.dll everytime.  Then I go back in the .dnn and change it before loading out.  Seems awfully cumbersome and am thinking there's a setting to make it stay the same.

So far as I know, there isn't a way to keep the assembly name the same for each build.  However, I'm not terribly experienced with the Web Site model of development and deployment, we use the Web Applicaiton model in our shop, which compiles cleanly into an assembly with the name of your choosing.  ScottGu has a (non-DNN) tutorial on it at http://webproject.scottgu.com/VisualBasic/UserControls/UserControls.aspx.

hi dukesb11,

yeah that's right.  I follow the instructions from here to package the module up into a zip with the compiled dll's - http://adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN_PackageModule/Default.htm.  But whwn I go to install the new module I get this error -

StartJob Starting Installation
StartJob Reading files
Failure

ExceptionICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.ZipException: Wrong Local header signature: 0x21726152 at ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipInputStream.GetNextEntry() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.ReadZipStream() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

Any ideas why this is??
