After successfully upgrading to 4.5.4 I can no longer create custom profile properties. The data type drop down list is no longer visible and replaced with the letters AD. Anyone else having this issue?

hi,

I managed to add some profile properties to my 'Manage Profile' page. I checked the database and the values have been added. However, once I log out of my website and try to sign in again, i get an error

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I deleted all the values that I added from my database and tried to login again and i logged in fine.

Could someone help me out with this?

Thnaks

Melrine

i found the solution to this. apparently while creating the profile properties, I am allowed to use only the Text  data type. I had to use the datetime data type for some of my attributes, hence it wuz givin an error. Its the same for the 'Date'  datatype too.

However, I need to make use of the Datetime data type, hence is there a fix to this problem??

Help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Melrine
