Hello All

I am trying to create a dnn 4x module that reads information from another database and displays particular information to the user based on who is logged in.  In my view.ascx I set up a SQL Data Soruce, and made shure it was connecting to the correct database.  I install the module into my dnn portal and it all looks well until I go and try to place a module on the page.  When I try to place a module on the page I get the following error

Error: Equipment is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: The connection name 'EquipmentConnectionString' was not found in the applications configuration or the connection string is empty. ---> System.InvalidOperationException: The connection name 'EquipmentConnectionString' was not found in the applications configuration or the connection string is empty. at System.Web.Compilation.ConnectionStringsExpressionBuilder.GetConnectionString(String connectionStringName) at ASP.desktopmodules_equipment_viewequipment_ascx.__BuildControlSqlDataSource1() at ASP.desktopmodules_equipment_viewequipment_ascx.__BuildControlTree(desktopmodules_equipment_viewequipment_ascx __ctrl) at ASP.desktopmodules_equipment_viewequipment_ascx.FrameworkInitialize() at System.Web.UI.UserControl.InitializeAsUserControlInternal() at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(IWebObjectFactory objectFactory, VirtualPath virtualPath, Type t, Object[] parameters) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Does anyone know what is causing this error and how to fix it

Thanks Mike

You need to add a connection string EquipmentConnectionString to your web.config file and configure it to connect to the other database.
