Cool module!  Though a couple q's:

- Is there a way to have the Location field just as a text box, and not a drop down?  Seems a bit silly to me for our particular purpose... ie and event location might be anywhere across the country, and it would be nice for the user just to type it in, rather than try to figure out to first 'add a location' in another part of the module, then add their event.

- If images are turned on, is there any way it can just display a small thumbnail in the month view, and full size in the event view?

- Have any web designers out there come up with some general css / layout improvements they'd care to share?  Out of the box it's not the most appealing to the eye (eg. list view, event view pages esp.)

- Not fully related, but is there an HTML editor (we're on 4.5.1) that actually works with the Mac/Safari platform?  (Will the default do it?)  We've been using the fckeditor and recently realized it has zilch functionality with Mac/Safari.

cheers and great job on this.

I agree redfive.  It would be extremely helpful if locations could be managed directly from the Create Event page.  That may be a show stopper from me leveraging this module.

Personally I'd like to see the locations picked up from the region tables that already exist in the database.  I believe this table is used to lookup user profile region (City, State, Country) info.  Perhaps the site administrator could configure whether to have a text field or use the build-in locations.  I don't see much sense in re-inventing the wheel.

The reason for using a seperate table is to enable flexibility. For instance some people may use this to enable booking of conference rooms, or to specify the local town hall. Neither of these are likely to appears in the built in City, State, Country tables.

The problem as always is trying to meet everyones needs and desires...

Cheers
Roger

Just noted this point from earlier in the thread. I did find out some time ago, that the reason fckeditor doesn't work in Safari is due to a bug in Safari. The work around on Mac is to use Firefox, which doesn't seem to have the same problem. I think I can still dig out the reference to the Safari problem if you are interested.

Cheers
