Sorry for being so harsh. I got the feeling that you had the best of intentions but ran out of time/energy? That's OK, but there were lots of lead-in promises about what the book contained, and I just feel that it didn't deliver in some of those respects.

Don't get me wrong - I would be thrilled if it did. And I bet you could deliver.

I really like the premise, and bet that it's an angle that could be very popular if done well.

That's ok- honesty is the best policy. I set out to write a little book to help others, as I spend a lot of time in the field working with different customers and have run into a lot of different issues.

And people saying, “You ought to write a book” So here we are- a little constructive criticism is welcomed.

But I set the price low and gave away all my modules, 8, to make it a better deal. So I hope you took away something.

Nevertheless, I take full responsibility for the content.

The good news is that I have taken on a co-author from California ,who is looking beyond some of the weak spots, and who is going to help me make it a better book- and I will send everyone who bought the first edition a new copy.

The DNN community has gone through a lot of stuff over the years, and it has survived because of all the people seeking continuous improvement- I am one of those people. I won’t let you down!

Just a word of encouragement Mark.  That is an awesome attitude.  Same goes for you Eric.  Willingness to take constructive criticism and to moderate one's "tone" when it comes across strong are both great qualities and part of what attracted me to DNN.

I love to see true collaboration in effect, without egos.

Clay
