Could anyone suggest books or other resources for developing in DNN? I am redeveloping a dynamic web application which employs forms, graphics and SQL database. I aim to use C#  and would like to be able to offer all or parts of my application within a DNN framework.

Jeff,

Given that there are only so many books on DNN development out there -- i might suggest just browsing amazon.com and seeing which one sounds good to you.

I would ask that if anyone else knows of a DNN book that isn't listed on amazon -- please make us aware. (aside from this one I just discovered)

take care,

Ian

I personally have had better luck using tutorials on the web and looking at existing modules to learn DNN

Michael Washington's articles are very good http://dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com

An overlooked resource, which I mention again and again is the module developer's guide under the documentation section.

I am completely with Mitchel and hooligannes 2.0 on this. Between Michael Washington tutorials on his web site and Michael Washington tutorial in Module Development guide document, you'll get a good idea on module development.

I urge everyone who is looking to learn different (and good!) ways to develop module to look in the source code of some of the modules. For example, Scott of ventrian.com develops in a different manner than Michael and I learned quite a bit from his Private Messages module.
