Hi

I am new to DNN and have attempted my first install today on a external hosting providers server using Plesk control panel. All went well untill i received this error message Domain Name www.mysite.com/DNN Does Not Exist In The Database. I changed the web.config file and install.config file with my site details. Can anyone please point me in the right direction.

Kind regards, Anton

DNN uses the address, you used during first call as the fist domain name, internally called portal alias. you can add additional aliases by using the original address, logging in as host, going to portals item in host menu, select your portal, scrll to the end of page and add the new address.

I installed DNN. It said all was well, but when I attempt to open this fresh install website, I get the same error. So, if I can not even open the website, and never have, so how am I supposed to log in as host....etc.

Is there another issue with this error message?

You need to open the site with the same URL you installed it from.  Be it IP address, domain name, localhost or whatever.

Hi,

I am new to DNN and am trying to install it. Everything was fine until i got this error message:

Domain Name dotnetnuke.mysite.com Does Not Exist In The Database. along with a long explanation. When i checked my dotnetnuke database

the Protals database table did not have a single row of entry so obviously the search query was not fetching my site from the database. Can tou please

tell me what i might be doing wrong? I had no other problems during installation.
