I've got a portal home page that has an embedded windows media player in a container in a side-column playing video ads.  They have another container in the middle that has a link to another page that has video on it.  They want the home page to stay open and the new page open in a new window.  No problem, it already does that.  But what they also want is for the video in the side-column on the home page to stop playing when the new page is opened.

The side-column video is just a text container with windows media embed html in it.  The middle container has a banner ad displayed using a 3rd party ad engine in an iframe.

Any ideas?
