Hi Javier,

how your project went?
I also want to use DNN for big number of sites inside of one installation but I am not sure about limitations by DNN or by hardware.
Can you share your experience?

I would like to know all details about that big implementation (sites per installation, what kind of hardware you have, etc...).

Thanks,
Oliver

Just for sharing.

I have a project here in Indonesia to host a lot of website for small and medium industry. I have built three parent portals with more than 3000 child portals. And it works fine since three year ago. In this year we will be expand for more than 2500 new child portals.

My concern when developing more than 100 child portals is you have to scheduling to clear your log file. Because the log file will be unbelievable in size. And will make your site down.

I'm using DotNetNuke 4.6, SQL Server 2005 Standar Edition, Windows Server 2003 R2. The hardware is Xeon Dual Processor, 2 GB RAM. Using co-location in one of the biggest internet service provider in Indonesia.

Hi,

thanks for info about your project.
This was exactly what I needed. Of course, if someone else wants to share experience that will be great :).
