Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade my site from 4.4.1 to 4.5.5 on my local PC. (Windows XP, VS2005, SQL 2005)

First, I got an error in regard to the database installation. Error message -

"Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...Upgrading Database to Version ERROR: See D:\Inetpub\webs\mastinariit\public\DotNetNuke\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\04.04.00.log for more information...FAILURE 400 - Conversion from string "ERROR: See D:Inetpubwebsmastinar" to type 'Integer' is not valid."

I searched the forum and did the following things according to the information I found. Finally, I was able to finish the upgrade in "auto" mode with sa account for the database. Now...I got this error.

"Domain Name localhost/DotNetNuke Does Not Exist In The Database"

I had three portals before upgrade. I checked the Portal and PortalAlias table in the database and saw my portals are listed. My files are still in the portal folder. I'm lost...could someone help?

Thanks!

Are your portal aliases listed under localhost or do you have them using the IP of your machine?

Thanks. I used the local host.

I fixed this problem. I forgot to specify the table name prefix in the new web.config so the upgrade created a whole new set of empty tables and DNN4.5.5 was reading from the empty tables. After I put the table name prefix back in the web.config, my portals are back. My bad!

I don't know if the database missed any updates because of the missing table name prefix. My site seems working fine so far. Is there a way to verify the database updated?

Thanks a lot!
