I understand that the dropdown menu in DNN is not widely cross browser compatible. Is there and easy way to use a different menu? HAs anyone done this? Does anyone have examples or links to them?

Thanks!

DNN comes with two menus, Solpart and DNNmenu. Have a look at the Client API project and forum for some information. Jon Henning has a website linked from there with a pile of info on it. DNNMenu is the newer one and is supposed to deal with problems that Solpart had.

Also, dig around Snowcovered.com. There are quite a few menu replacements including one or two that use fancy menu design systems from elsewhere. Off the top of my head there's also the Housemenu. Do a search for that.

You'll find heaps of options.

I actually just switched away from the DNN menu to the CSS Nav Menu by Snapsis (http://www.snapsis.com) it renders the links as pure HTML and seems to be pretty darn speedy.

You can see my implementation at http://www.mitchelsellers.com (I have a few other issues to fix with the skin, but the menu is good...)
