I think this is a great new feature...

However, before rolling something like this out which demonstrates 'technology' ...     make sure it is fast.    ATLAS is much faster than that..  so it is either demonstrating DotNetNuke's slowness..  or the server... hmmm.   Either way, it is too slow.

Oh..  and not sure Virginia and W.Va and probably others are considered 'South' ..    where did these regions come from?

Ok, I should have quoted it, but what Sebastain said was something like:

Since all the Jobs in the new Jobs Explorer appear to be for ASP.Net developers and not for DotNetNuke, maybe we should all switch to just doing ASP.Net.

You're right Brian, it is pretty slow to retrieve even an empty list.  I'm pretty sure it is server related.

My guess is those regions are based on Robert Half regional locations.

Having lived in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area for the better part of the last 20 years, I know that I have seen Virginia listed as being in both the South and Mid-Atlantic regions depending on the organizations who is creating the region.  If you look at Wikipedia you will see that Virginia and West Virginia are not always grouped with Mid-Atlantic and are sometimes considered Southern states.

The slowness is not caused by DotNetNuke or ATLAS but rather by some processing that is happening with Yahoo Pipes.  This will be replaced in the coming weeks but we wanted to get the program out to the community knowing that this will not be the only change that we make.

LOL

I am just wondering if, when the new forum gets here, Brian will be able to turn off the private messaging?
