Very strange, I first tried to install this as Virtual Directory "test" and it installed fine and I could access the portal without copying SiteUrls.config. Then I tried the same thing and only changed the name of the virtual directory to "Nybroviken" and now I had to manually copy this file for it to work. Very strange indeed...could this be a rights issue?

I copied the SiteUrl.config to the root folder and now I see the DNN homepage but nothing on it and none of the links  like login and register work.  The usual images a modules that appear are not there either.

Hi, I had the same problem, but I fund the failure.  It is an Permission failure, you must have write permissions for the Folders. 

If you have plesk as controlpannel from your provider set the permission of  Plesk IIS User and Plesk IIS WP User with full access !

I am getting the the SiteUrls.config error too.  When I copy the file down from the config folder, I get a new error, a standard "The page cannot be found".  I have given ASPNET access to my dnn installation folder, but I can't seem to get past this.  Can anyone offer any ideas?

Have u granted the LOCAL ASPNET the access (modify+ rest not full control)?

{Machine}/ASPNET
