When you post a new message (create a new thread, or reply), I would like to move the buttons , Update, Preview and Cancel, into the same area than INSERT Button. I tried to find where in the source I can do that, but I was unsuccessful. Who knows where ?

I strong recommend against doing this.  They are where they are for several good reasons.  First, those buttons switch based on items which show/hide if you are in preview mode or not.  What I mean is there is actually two 'footers' here.  The next reason is moving it would be inconsistant from the UI perspective of how the rest of the module works.  Another issue, these image/smiley buttons only show based on certain settings of the module.  If for some reason you still want to take this on, which I highly recommend against, you will have to edit the Forum_PostEdit.ascx.
