Well, you can do all of that with the module, but it really depends on you knowledge of XSL, RSS, and having newfeeds that include the kinds of elements you want to display.  Many newsfeed sources provide images embedded in HTML coded in the description element, and some provide thumbnail, video, or music files in an RSSv2.0 enclosure element.

The trick is to creating a custom XSL that formats a particular newsfeed source giving you the output you want. 

So for your situation, you could use individual Newsfeeds (RSS) modules for each of the panes, and by using a custom XSL with the right newsfeed source, it could do what you like.  Don't know that I can be more specific with your generic type of description.  Try looking at the various posts on this forum for some example custom XSL files, click on my username to view my posts, I've put a lot of information and examples on the forums about using this module.
