Thank you both very much for the clarification.  I had always thought that "Edit" was the key for the admin of the page or module.

Are Module "Edit" privilages more often associated with a users ability to interact with data as a user than an admin?  Can I let a user role "Edit" a Text/HTML control and be assured that they will not have access to the admin features?  Are all modules generally like that?

Thanks again,

Mike

Hi Michael,

I'm having the same problem you had but I have set "All Users" to have edit rights to the module and it won't let me swith between edit and view mode at the top of the page.  Thanks for any guidance.

Chris

UH!  This seems really ugly.  I'd like to have the ability for all Registered users to add events without being able to manipluate the Event module settingings.  In my current configuration using Events 4 beta anyone with the EDIT role can see All Administrative settings and delete the entire module.

I'd prefer if non-admins could only add or change their own data when the edit permission is granted.  Perhaps I'm missing something.  Can someone please assist??  Why are non-admin able to see the Control Bar and manage module settings when they have edit permissions?

Is there a way to give someone access to simply add, modify and remove their own events??

Hi BillInSoFL,

please have a look at thread "Allowing roles other than admin to edit events". This should answer your question.

There are permission to Page level and to Module level.  If you grant non-admin users Edit permission to the Page level, users will be able to access the Module settings screen.  Check the page level permission.

I suggest you to check out the Moderator option in the Module Settings screen to let users to add/modify/remove events.
