how is your portal installed?

to switch the address, log in as host user, go to Portals in Host menu, select your portal, scroll down to the far end of the settings page and add the new address as portal alias

now alter IIS configuration to use new name and then login using new name. you shall now be able to remove old portal alias if desired.
