Am aware of how to disable help url's as well as add optional interfaces, but how about disabling the import/export options?
Seems like it wouldn't be as deep as source .vb files, but possibly.  When I look there, cannot find any reference.

Also took a look at ascx.resx files & .dnn file, but nothing.

Feedback Appreciated,

you can disable iPortalble options in module definitions, the module will loose the import and export actions but all instances will also not be included in portal templates.

Appreciate the quick feedback.

Seems like the portable, searchable, and upgradable options are de-highlighted.
How do I gain access to change these settings?

In regards to the end of your statement, could you explain the "will also not be included in portal templates"

Thanks,

all 3 values are stored as combined value in a single field in module definitions table, you might need to alter value directly in database (don't forget to backup first!)

if you create a portal template (in host :: portals) from an existing portal, only modules supporting iPortable will be included.

leupold,

Looking at all five tables within sql database.
Within the "ModuleDefinitons" table there are only 4 columns.  ModuleDefID, FriendlyName, DesktopModuleID, CacheTime
None of these seem to reference the import/export settings.

The table that seems to the one is called "ModuleControls"

Here there are settings that are per module and some settings that seem to be overall. The line that looks like a direct hit, is not associated with the given module.
It seems to be one of the overall settings.  If I delete this, won't it delete import/export capabilities for all?  Not gonna, just wondering.

115 NULL ImportModule Import Module Admin/Modules/Import.ascx NULL 0 NULL NULL
116 NULL ExportModule Export Module Admin/Modules/Export.ascx NULL 0 NULL NULL

^  This is the column where ModuleDefID links the action to module.

Keep poking around.  Let me know what I am missing.
