Hello,

I have a report on my DotNetNuke website created using Microsoft Reporting Services that takes a parameter.  Right now, the parameter is manually input, but I would like this parameter to be supplied by a value in a field of a DotNetNuke User's Profile.  Basically, when the report runs, I need to be able to check to see what Online User is accessing the report (perhaps through a DotNetNuke view/table?), query the value of the field in the User's Profile, and display the results of the report based upon that value.

The 'userprofile' table is the location of the data the report needs, but I am not sure on how to check to see what user is accessing the report.  Does DotNetNuke track user location in any way?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

John

John,

You can use the UserInfo class in the module code to access information on the current user, including getting profile property values.

Thanks for the response!

As it turns out, the SQL Reporting Services 02.00.00 module does exactly what I need in terms of obtaining the active UserID.  I just had to use this value as a parameter in the report, and then create a query in an additional report parameter to connect to the DotNetNuke database and obtain the user's profile property value.  The module can be found at the following:
