Id like  to have each Solpartmenu link in a seperate div so they can be placed in a horiz. tab like display. an example is http://www.venexus.com/Support/tabid/147/Default.aspx the menu on  that site. If anyone knows if this is possible let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Why not create a background for each cell and give it a content pane name like Link1pane, Link2pane and use link module or just a basic text html and place your links to the appropriate pages and repeat on all pages.

Of course you need some way of getting access to the pages to start with and for that you could put [links] skin token at the bottom of the page.

I believe this is either hard coded or a text html image with the links added.

Since it's got a flash hard coded front page with the flash, they have followed this throughout the site it's not using the solpart menu at all.

But having said that - I think you could achieve this look by using an image and some padding, but it wouldn't be advisable to do this with a dropdown menu since the results could look odd.
