For your own PA a copyright notice is not needed as this would be you own work.

I see. So all I have to do is leave the DotNetNuke package as it and develop my own source code at will.

So, if I'm reading everything correctly, the only place that needs to mention DotNetNuke is the copyright notice in the source code.

What if I only provide the compiled code to my client?  This means that my client would never see DotNetNuke.  Is this an issue?

That is correct.

No it is not an issue. But the names of some of the DLLs will still have DotNetNuke and the properties of those DLLs should still have DotNetNuke in the Assembly Info.
