Hi,

I have a DotNetNuke installation running on webhost4life webhosting.  My site can take anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute to load which is unacceptable.  However, after the first load, it takes less than 2 or 3 seconds to load again.  They tell me this is because if the site hasn't been browsed within 20 minutes, it needs to be recompiled.   They also tell me I can set up a scheduled task to browse my site regularly so that it is always compiled.  Can anyone help me in setting this up?

Much thanks and appreciation for your responses.

Jason

You can set the task up using an external monitoring service.

I use http://www.host-tracker.com for free.

John,

Thanks for your response. That site is great. Had no idea something like that was out there.   The only bad thing is on the free version it will only check the site every 30 minutes.   I need it every 20.   I guess I could pay the $50 a year or so, but I'd rather not if i didnt have to.

It's only checking every 30 minutes now?  I guess I better login and check my account.

There are other free ones available.

Here's one that is run by the guys at PowerDNN, and I'm pretty sure it is free:
