I receive a http 403 error when trying to browse to my DNN site via a DNS name.  I can see the site fine if I use the ip address of the server in the browser.  I am running on Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2005, DNN 4.5.

Thanks

Do you have IIS setup with a host header for the DNS name you are referring to?

I don't have host headers setup.

I did figure out what the problem was.  I had our network admin add an alias to our URL for testing purposes.  That name did not have an entry in the PortalAlias table so I think DNN lost its way after IIS directed port 80 traffic to Default.aspx.  Once I added the record in the PortalAlias table and recycled IIS the problem vanished.

Thanks for your response.

Regards
