I am using DNN for my company's intranet site and there are a large amount of files in an extensive file system. The dropdown boxes in the URL control are not wide enough to see the folder you are selecting/entire file name. I edited the .ascx URL control file to resize the dropdown box, but the changes are not showing up. Do I need to do anything special to make this change? Below I changed the widths from 300 to 500.

<TR id="URLRow" runat="server">
  <td noWrap><asp:label id="lblURL" runat="server" enableviewstate="False" resourcekey="URL" CssClass="NormalBold"></asp:label><asp:dropdownlist id="cboUrls" runat="server" datatextfield="Url" datavaluefield="Url" cssclass="NormalTextBox"
    Width="500"></asp:dropdownlist><asp:textbox id="txtUrl" runat="server" cssclass="NormalTextBox" Width="500"></asp:textbox><br>
 </TR>
 <TR id="TabRow" runat="server">
  <td noWrap><asp:label id="lblTab" runat="server" enableviewstate="False" resourcekey="Tab" CssClass="NormalBold"></asp:label><asp:dropdownlist id="cboTabs" runat="server" datatextfield="TabName" datavaluefield="TabId" cssclass="NormalTextBox"
    Width="500"></asp:dropdownlist></td>
 </TR>
 <TR id="FileRow" runat="server">
  <td noWrap><asp:label id="lblFolder" runat="server" enableviewstate="False" resourcekey="Folder" CssClass="NormalBold"></asp:label><asp:dropdownlist id="cboFolders" runat="server" AutoPostBack="True" cssclass="NormalTextBox" Width="500"></asp:dropdownlist>
   <asp:Image ID="imgStorageLocationType" Runat="server" Visible="False"></asp:Image><br>
   <asp:label id="lblFile" runat="server" enableviewstate="False" resourcekey="File" CssClass="NormalBold"></asp:label><asp:dropdownlist id="cboFiles" runat="server" datatextfield="Text" datavaluefield="Value" cssclass="NormalTextBox"
    Width="500"></asp:dropdownlist><INPUT id="txtFile" type="file" size="30" name="txtFile" runat="server" Width="500">

You might check and see if the CSS class for NormalTextBox has a width assigned to it and modify that in your portal.css or skin.css files

The NormalTextBox does not have a width assigned to it. I did assign a width and the only change I saw was the Search bar text box. The dropdown menus did not. Perhaps I should create a class for them in the portal.css and assign it in the URLcontrol.ascx?? It doesn't seem to do anything when I change it in the .ascx file.
