I upgraded from 4.5.3. to 4.5.5 without error.  I clicked on the Host->Host Settings, checked some information, then went to Admin->Site Settings.  I then noticed that the Host tab link was missing.  I remembered reading of something similar on one of the forum posts that said something about restarting the application.  Since that function is on the Host->Host Settings tab, I accessed the server, restared SQL and used IIS to stop and start the application pool.  Problem fixed.

You can also reset the app by modifying and saving the web.config file
