From a usability point of view, I would like to display a list of users names from a sql query and when one is selected, store the userid for that person selected.  A competing modules does this by allowing you to specify a SQL query that returns two columns, the first is stored in the database and the 2nd column is what is displayed.  If only one column is returned, then that is used for both display and storing in the table.  Is this possible within UDT?

we are working on a feature to support user profile links, see http://support.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?p=15&i=6004

UDT 3.4.0 will allow to use tokens in a Link caption, which can include contents of other rows (even hidden ones).

Some data types support specifying value lists, offered as dropdown control in edit form. Modify the source code, to support using SQL queries as source for dropdown control.
