I am a newbie at DotNetNuke ( mine is 4.0.2 ) and I have set up a test site for my friends on which I included a discussion module. I set the security of the page to allow view permission to admins and authorized users and edit permission to admins. For the discussion module I added the right to edit the modul to authorized users while keeping the check for inheriting permissions from page. When I did this the first time everything worked as expected, after the users logged in, they could add ner threads and replies, but after I unchecked the "inherit permission from page" and played around with settings, there seems to be no way of getting back where I was. I put everything back in place, just as I descirbed in the beggining, but now, unless I give users permission to edit the page itself, they cannot edit the discussion module. Nothing helps. I even tried checking all groups of users in discussion module security settings, thus giving permissions to everyone and unchecking the "inheriting" and it does not help. Does anyone have a clue of what I have messed up ?.

PS

I do not think I have changed anythin else in the mean time.
