I have figured out the "filtering" issuses (see my separate posts on this).

I still haven't figured out how to have someone click the "name" to bring up a detail view,as lefnire is trying to do, instead of using the magnifying glass.

" how can I select an item in the list?
say I have 3 columns: name, phone, and address. name and phone are visible, address isn't. but i want the user to click on the 'name' cell which will link him to that row in a separate page, which displays all columns (visible or invisible). "

Hi,

I'm still looking for a solution to Lefnire's Question #1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have two questions (I assume these features exist--if not, consider my questions as feature requests).

1) how can I select an item in the list?
say I have 3 columns: name, phone, and address. name and phone are visible, address isn't. but i want the user to click on the 'name' cell which will link him to that row in a separate page, which displays all columns (visible or invisible).

2) is there a way to filter rows?
say I have 3 columns: county, city, and store. if the user wanted to find all stores within a certain county, she should be able to click a dropdown on the 'county' column which allows her to either sort ascending/descending (this functionality is already provided, I see), but also be able to select from unique counties to filter just those counties. That way she can show only those stores within a specific county and city, rather than having to do primary and secondary sorting and scrolling to the proper position.

have a look at the advanced XSL template, which allows master detail. another option is to create a custom template with master/detail.

FYI: Next version shall support links to user profiles.
