Hi,

I've a problem. I build an Skin Object called HacMenu. It's an Popupmenu.

I can install it without any problems and it works on my testsystem.

But when i upload the skin with the placeholder [HACMENU] on my running system i got the following message:

Could Not Load Skin: /Portals/_default//skins/skins/hansecomskin.ascx Error: D:\www_4.5.1\Website\Portals\_default\skins\skins\HanseComSkin.ascx(11): error BC32206: Indirect reference is being made to assembly DotNetNuke version 4.5.1.29, which contains 'ASP.desktopmodules_hacmenu_hacmenu_ascx'. This Project references a prior version of DotNetNuke version 4.5.1.28. To use 'ASP.desktopmodules_hacmenu_hacmenu_ascx', you must replace the reference to DotNetNuke with version 4.5.1.29 or higher.

The dnn Versions are both 4.5.1.

Hope somebody can help me

:)

No. the Versions are not the same, the one on your server is 4.5.1.28 , the other is 4.5.1.29. You must have compiled the DotNetNuke assembly again on your local machine together with your skin object. This increases the version number.

possible solutions:

  • Copy dotnetnuke.dll from your local machine to the server
  • Upgade to DNN 4.5.5
  • Edit  assembly.vb and set the version nr. hard to 4.5.1.28 and recompile your solution.

I'd start by asking the question to whomever you got the Menu from, that's not a core DNN control afaik.
