Like a fool I just upgraded my Events module to version 03.03.08 Not that I really had any issues with my previous version, I just for some crazy reason thought that a newer version would be better than the previous. Apparently not! None of the Views work, except for the standard Month view. Every Five minutes when I return to my events page there is an error "Sorry events are currently unavailbe" or "Object refference not set to an instance of an object" I see all these posts in the forum about beta testing etc. where the beta testers stoned?

I'm sorry, but you're way out of line.

Because of the numerous configuration variables, it's just not possible to test a new module for every single possible configuration.  Heck, even the mighty Microsoft can't do that!  Here you have a team of volunteers graciously taking the time to test out the new code and report back their results, not a multi-billion dollar corporation.  Yet, you happen to run into a problem with your particular configuration, and you immediately post a nasty-gram that belittles the coders and beta-testers.

I'll give you a tip...if you are going to get hot-headed and blow steam in the forums, type your message up offline and sleep on it.  Then read it again in the morning before you post it.  Hopefully, you be able to tone down the attitude by a few notches and also correct your grammar errors (i.e. "where the beta testers stoned?").

Drake, I must agree with vangor - please keep in mind that the project members are doing their work for free. And I really appreciate this, and their effort to improve the module. If you're not satisfied with it, I'm sure there are some commercial event modules available.

I cannot confirm that the module is "full of bugs". It works well for my purposes, except of one issue with the list view (causing an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error message). I posted a workaround here. Sure, there are some other problems reported, but in my opinion not more than usual - "usual" for any DNN module, or even any piece of software (free or commercial) I know.

The other error message you describe - "Sorry events are currently unavailbe" - I have not seen so far. Under what circumstances does it occur? Can you reproduce it, or does it occur randomly? If you can give a step-by-step description how to reproduce, I'm sure the project team is willing to fix it.

A word to "where the beta testers stoned?": I did a bit of beta testing for Events 3.3.7 (not stoned), but as I did it in my free time,  I couldn't test everything (Sorry for my lazyness). Perhaps you'd like to support the beta testing next time (for version 3.3.9 or 4.0)?
