Hi,

There is a project which was already partially build in Dot Net 1 using DNN 2.x (2.1.2), before moving towards its further plan we are thinking to migrate the it to Dot Net 2.0 and DNN 4.x (preferable 4.5). I was looking for the best way to migrate it. How can i? is there some available tool? or some instructions (base guide lines) or i have to migrate each code manually?

Looking forwards,

..alee

Is the project built into installable modules, or are you looking to upgrade an entire site?

It is possible to upgrade entire sites from 2.1.2 to 4.5.5. If that's what you want to do I'd recommend upgrading to  3.3.7 then upgrading to 4.5.5

Be sure to back everything up first, files and the database. When the upgrade fails or has problems you can restore.
