Hi,

Is it possible to have customizable UI. The user can customize the UI just like Sharepoint and ASP.Net 2.0 Webparts.

The DNN Framework is about as customisable as your could possibly image.

You can use Portal Level Skins, Page Level Skins, Module Level Containers and CSS for all of it.

And you can code your own SKIN and MODULE elements.

If the user has been given page edit permissions then they can drag and drop items around the screen. However, it is not very smooth and the other things that page editing exposes to your users might not be desirable.

You might find that providing a straighforward ready-made interface in the first place will cover any perceived benefits of letting end-users mess with it. You can also provide the visibility function to let people show and hide modules as desired (the little plus/minus icons).
