Hi,

Does anybody know if there is an LDAP provider for DNN 4x that works with IBM/Lotus? I read that DNN 4.6x should include a new ldap provider?

http://blog.theaccidentalgeek.com/archive/2007/08/04/dotnetnuke-4.6-roadmap.aspx

The AD provider only works with microsoft active directory?

I've just checked out internal beta build of 4.6 and it only includes AD, cardspace, liveid and openID, so theres no alternative LDAP provider in there. At this stage I would not expect one, so it'll be future version, though don't be surprised if someone in the community creates one before we get a chance - as it'll ship with those 4, it's easy enough to create an alternative one.

That's kind of sad news.

I saw the blog to and was hoping to try to integrate with our Novell environment.

Thank you for your answer =)

Toby Kraft has created his own LDAP provider which can be found here: http://codeplex.com/DNNLDAP

I'm thinking that it may be possible to update his provider so that it works against Lotus/IBM LDAP..

A question regarding the ADSI provider: Is it possible to use forms authentication and the adsi provider so that the user enter his ad credentials on a login page and these are validated against the AD? Or is it only possible to use the adsi provider when integrated security is enabled?

Thanks, Johan

Don't give up hope. While an LDAP provider isn't part of the core I'm pretty sure someone that's comfortable with LDAP will be able to get something together fairly quickly with the way the providers are now setup under 4.6.
