Using the latest DNN Starter Kit install, I constantly get this upgrade page (at least several times a day); does anyone else get this and if so, why does it keep coming back to the upgarde page?

Hi Larry,

That sounds familiar to me. I have the same problem. Anyone got any ideas?

Grretings,

AFAIR it's caused when your web.config doesn't have write access, and the installation procedure could not write the InstallationDate node. I recommend that you either set the permissions correctly or add it in the appSettings section e.g.

  <add key="InstallationDate" value="9/06/2007"/>

You can also set the AutoUpgrade sppSetting to False and that will stop it from automatically entering that mode.

To help the Core Team with this "issue", I have the same problem; however, my "web.config" already has the "InstallationDate" key set properly.
