But how to handle users who have disabled all popups forever, perhaps without realizing the consequences? Well, next month I will have to add a repository to a website for users with little computer knowledge, and having read DV's experience with his users, I think I will give my users some aid and explain them in detail how they have to configure their popup blocker to make the links work.

Surely not a 100% solution, but I think most users are willing to change some settings if they see the benefits and if you guide them through all steps.

I am interested by the result, of course...
But maybe, you saw on my website that I have put a small note at the bottom of the repository page (LINKS page), but without lot of success.... People do not read bottom notes... The main problem, as you said, is people who disable all pop-up forever without thinking of consequences...

DV FX - on holidays for 2 weeks now... So I won't bother you anymore for the next 2 weeks... ;-)

Well I must confess I didn't see it! obviously users look only at the links, so the note has to be VERY close to the links, or as a tooltip... I'll keep thinking about this.

When you access an item through permalink, and you try switching to a new category (using the drop down box), it changes the page, but if you choose another item and try to edit it (or make a comment), it doesn´t work correctly . It appears the first item that you accessed trough the permalink instead of the selected one.

The Search function doesn't work properly after access an item through permalink too.

I´m using the Repository 3.01.14 Build 13179.

Any Help? Thanks.

You are right, I have the same problem than you, I did not notice this problem before...
I will update the first post (summary).
Thanks for your feedback,
