I am on record to say that you should not worry about those that block popups. At what point do you stop? Say someone installs a firewall and accidentally tells it to not allow access to your site. Will you write to the firewall author and suggest he does not all ow that option in case one of your users configures it badly?

Simple solution is to put a link or descriptive text saying that download open in a new window and some popup blockers may not handle this.

And steve if you're reading this, I hope that future versions will have the ability to log the userid who clicks. Even if it's just an unused parameter for now because I'd like to be able to limit daily downloads on my site and I am capable of using SQL triggers/procs to add this, but wiothout the userid it is not possible

With the new dev build, I have updated my post at the beginning of this thread.
To my opinion, there remains only two items very important for the release to be ready to be published:

# General #
- When someone upload an item and the item is not approved immediately, the category in which the item is listed is used in the counting, and displayed in the dashboard.

# Repository Dashboard - open doc without redirecting to Repository main page #
- The tip given in this thread does not work with IE.
