I have to second what leupold is saying. The database changes frequently. If you're doing adhoc queries then no problem but please don't create any code that directly access the DotNetNuke Core tables. When you upgrade the DotNetNuke site the Core changes will likely break your code.

Think about it, the Core it's self doesn't access the tables directly (only the Data Access Layer does). Otherwise we would break our own code every time we made a change to the database.

when you talk reports..  9/10 I'm using sql against the db ..         if UserProfiles schema changes ..    the upgrade process will be messy...    so I think you are safe in this case...

I'm not worried about the database and changes being made because of an upgrade to DotNetNuke.  That upgrade will not happen anytime soon on our website.    The querys i'm making are directly in MSSQL.  But will later be in  ASP or Coldfusion being accessed from another site outside of our DotNetNuke site.

We are currently running DNN 3.3

How do I find out what the field names are so that I can query on the serialized ?

See ID in table "ProfileProperties".

I looked at our database, I don't see a table "ProfileProperties"
