Hi,

I am finding that I am hitting the maximum length permissible for the page title in the page settings.

Does anyone know if there is a way to increase this please?

Thanks

Trevor

Do you mean the length that is being displayed in IE (fixed approx 100 characters ) or Firefox (length depending on screen resolution)? or do you mean the length of the dnn pagetitle field?

The DNN field (approx 200 characters) surpasses what can be shown in the IE and FF titlebar. Why do you need more?

I guess you can't change the length that gets displayed in IE.

Hi Peter,

Yes, I found this out the hard way :)

You are correct, it is dangerous to increase the page title width in dnn as it can easily break the maximum url length for browsers.

Why do i need more?

I am trying to replicate this site. one of the menu options is way over length...

I have worked out how to increase the limit. And implemented to be honest. Do you think i have done the wrong thing?

The default was 50, i have increased to 100.
