so after copying over the new files..  why does it say Not configured..  after updating the settings without changing anything..  the pictures I had are not displayed..  what is the real issue?

Just to comfirm that I got the same error when select Gallery/Maintenance menu option

An error has occurred.
Unhandled error loading module.

There was a bug in the gallery maintancence, you can find the problem and fix in these forums.  It will be corrected for the next release.  I will check to see if I can replicate the lost content problem as well.  Remember, that synchronization under the gallery maintance can fix this problem for lost images at least.
