In order to stay informed of certain types of errors recorded in the event viewer, ie. page load exceptions and module load exceptions, how can I configure DotNetNuke to notify me when a certain type of error is recorded or logged in the database.

I do not want the error message being emailed or sent to somebody, I just want to notify a specified user that there is a certain type of error recorded so that they can go log into the website and get the error message detail etc. notify who needs to be notified etc.

I do not want to have to keep checking the event viewer to check for critical errors.

The whole idea of this is to be aware of issues with the website, be proactive and contact a customer about the issue letting them know it is being worked on or has been fixed before they notify me.

Please tell me something like this is possible.

Thank you,
Chas

*Bump*

Is there a way to notify a specified user by email of page load or module load exceptions when they get recorded in the event log table?

Thanks,
Chas

Chas - this might get you stared.

1) you must login to the 'host' account - not your portal

2) got to  'admin'--->'event viewer'

3) click on 'edit log settings'

4) click 'add log setting'

From here you can add a log setting based on your criteria.
