Hi,

I've upgraded to the latest DNN version just for the use of AJAX but I am even unable to use simple update panel. The whole page postbacks for some reason.

Here is the ascx:
<%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="AjaxTest.ascx.cs" Inherits="KBSAjax_AjaxTest" %>
<%@ Register Assembly="System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"
Namespace="System.Web.UI" TagPrefix="asp" %>

And here is the code behind:

public partial class KBSAjax_AjaxTest : KBSLibrary.UI.KBSModuleControl
{
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Response.Write("All page is loaded at " + DateTime.Now.ToString());
}
protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
this.Label1.Text = DateTime.Now.ToString();
}
}

Now can anyone tell me why this is not working?

Also there is not even a single documentation on the latest release for the use of AJAX
Thanks for the replies in advance.

Your .ascx code didn't show so I couldn't see what it looked like.

Secondly if you are looking for some documentation you might have a look at Michael Washington's Tutorials at http://dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com

Hi Mitchel,

I even tried the explanation on your site at http://www.mitchelsellers.com/Blogs/tabid/54/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/57/AJAX-and-the-DotNetNuke-Repository.aspx but it did not work too.

Here is my simple ascx with all details:

<%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="AjaxTest.ascx.cs" Inherits="KBSAjax_AjaxTest" %>
<%@ Register Assembly="System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"
Namespace="System.Web.UI" TagPrefix="asp" %>
<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat="server">
<ContentTemplate>
<asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text="Label"></asp:Label>
<asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Button" OnClick="Button1_Click"></asp:Button>
</ContentTemplate>
</asp:UpdatePanel>
