During module development, I need to replace the dlls from my module with every change.  This of course causes the site to recompile.  I am finding that this takes sometimes up to 10 seconds, even on a 3.0GHz machine.  Is this normal?  Is there anything I can do to trim down my dnn installation toa bare bones site to help speed this up?  Having to wait for this recompilation with each change is adding viscosity to my developement.

You can uninstall all of the modules you're not using. But beyond that no. What I tend to do is have IE open without being in debug mode, make changes, compile, and then load up the site in IE while i can keep working in Visual Studio.

What method of development are you using? The starter kit model, or WAP model?

I'm using the WAP model.  I have a separate solution that contains one WAP project per module.  I do pretty much the same  - keep IE open on the page that has the module I'm working on.  When I rebuild,  the dll and .ascx files get copied to the dnn site and then I just refresh the page in IE to see the changes.  Works fine, but slow....

I'll try uninstalling the unused modules...

Thanks
