I installed and tested 3.3.8 but seem to have overlooked what happens when you start a new browser session.  Currently, any instance of the module that has list view as the default display generates and exception:

So far what I have seen is this only occurs on modules where the list view is the default display and only the first time the page is visited after a browser restart.  The behavior is consistent and repetable on Firefox and IE7 running on DNN 4.5.3.

Not sure if it is your link or my browser but that link doesn't take me anywhere.

Disable Categories and your list view should work fine.
