I am trying to create a new web site that has a little more security.  I edited the web.config so that passwords would have to contain at least 2 non-alpha charcters.  The problem is when I create the site it causes an error because the default passwords "dnnhost" and "dnnadmin" do not contain the required 2 non-alpha charcters.  My question is then where are the default passwords "dnnhost" and "dnnadmin" located in the code so that I can edit them to contain the 2 non-alpha charcters.

I'm not sure where those are located offhand, but try setting up your site and then modifying the web.config to change the password requirements.

In the Install directory is DotNetNuke.install.config, in there is <password>dnnhost</password>, for the host and one for the admin a little further down. Change it there and when you install it will use the new password.

That is the file that I needed to locate.  I will try the install again changing the password(s) in that script.  I did find another way to change the password minimum length and number of non-alpha charcters by going through IIS and the properties for the web site, ASP.NET tab, edit configuration button, which brings up another window, click on the authentication tab, Manage providers button under the membership (center of window) which opens yet another window and ther be all the password settings.  Thanks again for the location of the install.config.
